Percy Jackson is the main character in the story, and he is a demi god son of Poseidon, and he is heroic when you need him, but he just wants a normal life. Grover is Percy Jacksons protector, and he will do anything to keep Percy safe. The two reasons that Annabeth is here is because she likes Percy, and she likes a good adventure. Tyson is Percy's brother. The main problem that Percy faces in this story is that a long time ago a cyclops killed a girl, (that is a demi god) and when she the gods made her into a tree and was basically a shield that keeps away evil monsters from camp demi god. So someone killed the tree so the shield was destroyed, and the person who killed her sent in a monster to destroy the camp, but Percy stopped it.
First Percy was at school living his normal life, then one day he had a dream about Grover being chased by a cyclops from Polyphemus. Next the same day at Meriwether College Prep, Percy is stuck playingdodgeball with Tyson, his friend, against large seventh graders who turn out to be Laistrygonian Giants. They summon explosive dodge-balls in an attempt to kill Percy, but he is protected by Tyson who is unaffected physically or mentally by the monsters' cannonballs. Annabeth saves Percy by killing the last Laistrygonian, Joe Bob, by stabbing it from behind and takes Percy and Tyson back to Camp Half-Blood by calling the Gray Sisters and their taxi. after that they find the camp under attack by two bronze Colchis Bulls made by Hephaestus. Thalia's tree, which protects the camp, had also been poisoned by anunknown intruder. Tyson manages to subdue one bull and Clarisse takes care of the other one. later Percy finds out that Tyson is a cyclops and is also the son of Poseidon.
Over all I think that this is a really good boo, because it is very interesting and there are a lot of adventures in the book. Also because I happen to like Percy Jackson series. It is an easy read, but I'd have to search a word up on the internet sometimes. The style of reading that Rick Riordan used, is that he sometimes used Elizabethan language, and he likes to use big words.
I would recommend this book to a person who likes a lot of adventure and who likes books about gods and demi gods. I would rate this book out 5 a 4. I rated it a 4 because it is really good but it is not perfect. Like sometimes he would make a really interesting sentence but the one after that he didn't use very big words. Also at the end of the chapter he leaves me hanging on the current chapter and that makes me want to read what happens next. ...more "

This book is called The Maze; and is by James Dashner. In the beginning of the book you would find the main character Thomas in an elevator making it’s way up to the maze. Once he gets up in the maze he sees all these people surrounding him, and he’s just confused and lost. He finds out that he doesn’t have any memory; in fact he can’t even remember his own name.

After Thomas is told where he is and sees this big wall surrounding him he gets scared and run’s for the door, but everyone else run’s after him because something happens. Thomas’s first friends name was chuck. He was the new guy until Thomas came. Chuck explains all the important details like why you go through the big door, where is he, and what was the thing call which he came in?

The maze has been around for 2 years, and a guy named Alby was the first person to come to the maze, and he is the leader of all of them. At first Alby is really nice to Thomas but something happens between them. The main conflict in this book is that Thomas and the rest of the people that are there are stuck in the maze and it seems like they cant get out but its like a magic trick it seems impossible but it’s possible. Every scary place needs a scary monster or animal, and the monster for the Glade is called a Griever. A Griever looks like a big scary spider with big teeth and a needle on it. If you get stung you would do and say crazy things, but it brings back your memory.

My opinion about the book is that it’s a very good read, filled with adventure, with a dash of excitement. The book is basically the same as the movie but its just a little longer.

In the Glade there are many jobs for people to do, like a runner, (runs around the maze and tries to find a way out of it) farmer, a person that kills the pig to eat it, a person that cleans up the mess after the pig is slaughtered, a person that berry’s the underground, etc. In the middle of the Glade there is a thing called the box. The box brings up supplies every week, and brings people up to the Glade every month. ...more "
