They grew up in two completely different environments for example, Daniel grew up in the slums and June grew up in the richest part of town. Daniel and June have completely different thoughts about a lot of things. For example Daniel thought that the Republic was a joke and June lived for the Republic.
I choose this book because I read the first one and really liked it, so I read the second one.The interesting characters are Day and June because you get to see what they both see things in the world. My favorite part of the book is when Day and June get a away from the Colonies soldiers. That is my favorite part of the book because they escape right when they were going to be done-for.
I would not want trade places with Day or June because the republic seem like a bad place to live in. I mostly would not want to trade places with June because it seems like there is to much pressure on her to succeced and do everything perfect. I would not want to trade places with Day because the things that he does seem to risky and are not the smartest things to do. Although his plans and missions are pretty well thought out. For example on page five "... ever since that fateful morning when Comander Jameson shot him(Day) in the leg and arrested him... now his left leg is a mass of broken, bleeding flesh." Day reacted to his mother being shot and killed by trying to kill the soldiers in vain. But, Comander Jameson shot Day in the leg making him unable to kill the soldiers. That is why Day's leg is broken, bleeding and might have an infection. Another reason I would not want to trade places with Day is because he is the Republic's most wanted criminal. For example on page three June thinks to herself "Nightmares about being the Republic's most wanted criminal." I would recommend this book because it is very good, interesting, and well written. ...more "
