"I can't really relate to the main character of the book, Mark Watney. Mark and I have gone through totally different situations in our life. He was left on Mars and had to survive by himself. On the other hand, I was 3 and I got lost in Target for about 30 minutes. I mean, we both could say that we a were alone for some time but Mark was lost for about 500 days when I was lost for 30 minutes." — Jan 25, 2016 08:18AM

"My favorite book that I have read this year was definetly The Martian. The Martian was an awesome book and was very enjoyable to read. It was interesting to read about Mark Watney being left on the moon and having to survive by himself. He had to make his own food and shelter on a planet that had no life on it (as far as we know). Reading about Mark's change in life on how he does things was very interesting." — May 31, 2016 08:58AM
