He then started writing stories for the common people. He wrote the book The Adventure of Tom Sawyer that’s set in the 1870s in a small town on the Mississippi river. This book is somewhat autobiographical. Twain combined the stories of three boys in his childhood and changed bits and pieces and made it fiction. Twain wrote the book The Adventure of Tom Sawyer is because he wants to tell his story in a book, and he later realized how much he liked the character Huckleberry Finn, so he wrote another book called The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn.

The Book is about a young smart boy named Tom Sawyer that lives with his aunt. Tom does mischievous things but he doesn’t normally get away with them. Tom’s emotions are like a roller coaster, going up and down all the time. He goes on adventures with friends and flirt with the new girl in town. He then witnesses a murder and is terrified. He and his friend later get in very dangerous situations and manage to get out of the situation safely with his friends.

Mark Twain is very sarcastic with his writings and uses a lot of sense of humor in this story. He shows that Tom discovering the great law of human action without realizing it and gets more and more mature towards the end of the book and discovering the great law of human action without realizing it. For example, “If he hadn’t run out of whitewash, he would have bankrupt every boy in the village.” (ATS p.23) This showed how Tom was able to use the great law of human attraction to trick people. Tom was punished and had to whitewash the fence on a Sunday morning but he lured the boys in town to whitewash it for him, and giving him trash that they see as treasure like paper clip and dead rat on a string. I really like this book because of the language Twain use to describe really detailed things and I also like the humor and the sarcasm that is scattered all over the book. ...more "

"Tom told Huck that all of the treasure is in the number 2 and they go and tries to find. Huck is really scared that Injun Joe's spirt is in there. I will be scared if I was him because Injun Joe is really scary.
