Germar asks why the witch hunt? Why the demonization and imprisonment of questioners and skeptics? As far as he is concerned the term "denier" is an unfair & erroneous term hurled as "witch" was hurled during the Middle Ages.

Witch hunt (plural witch-hunts)
(1) (historical) A search for witches, persons believed to be using sorcery or harmful magic, in order to persecute and typically kill them.
(2) An attempt to find and publicly punish a group of people perceived as a threat, usually on ideological or political grounds.
(3) A public smear-campaign against an individual.

Whereas most people in the face of anomalies and inconsistency will think it's best to follow the lead of others,fearing ostracism if they don't, Rudolf was more concerned with accuracy,even if it did result in an awkward social moral dilemma and a deviant identity being slapped on him.
