Put bluntly, we live in a world in which nobody is really in charge.
To have a global leader "in charge" would be dangerous. Even though it doesn't happen now with the first one or the second one we will in the end have a tyranny with a crazy guy, more horrible then anybody, ever. Take a look at the Roman empire as an example of that.
