Ok, so confession: according to Goodreads, this is just the 2nd time that I've read this series.... it's more like the 8th-10th (I've actually lost count!).

After finishing the series last year I could not let the characters and the story go!! It felt like everything else I read after was average in comparison. I can't remember how long I lasted, but I finally bent to my desire and re-read it after only like a month or something like that.... and then again. And again. I'm pretty sure there was a time where I finished book 3 and just went straight back to book 1 again! Screw any pretence of trying to read something different 😂
And then, I forget what month it was last year where I thought "ok, this is crazy! I am not allowed to re-read this series again for the rest of the year!"
It was hard, and honestly I'm surprised at myself for waiting till March! But in a way, waiting made all my original feelings come back. I've read I few reviews that say they wish they could forget the story so they can have that feeling of reading it for the first time again! And I completely understand.
Despite remembering what happens and certain things the characters say that tore at my heart (I'm looking at you, Liam Stewart! 👀) I felt like I was on the roller-coaster of emotion as intensely as the first time!
I have no doubt that "officially" I will have this series on my list of books read just once again for 2022, but I know myself - there will be multiple read throughs!! 😂❤
Original 2021 read: I don't understand how there seems to be a lot of hate for this book! I really loved the characters and the plot and desperately wanted to shout in anguish at the ending!! Sure there were some bits that that were a little predictable (Clancy's true colours) but I still enjoyed the journey. I'm definitely excited to read the next one!!...more
