God of Wrath is enemies to lovers dark romance with best friend's brother trope. I wouldn't say this is one of the darkest books I've read but I'd probably check the trigger warnings.

I personally loved how obsessed Jeremy was to keep her safe and how determined he was to go after what he wanted. He was controlling but also so sweet at times like when he researched the manga she reads and even bought some of them for her. Jeremy also knew to buy her clothes exactly in her size. He didn't care what's considered normal or socially acceptable. if he wanted something, he went after it.

Cecily was used to always taking care of her family and friends. She always ensured they are safe and she was loyal. I hated how in the last book everyone stopped being friends with Annika, so I was glad to see how thorn Cecily was about it. She didn't want anyone to hurt, even Annika's parents who she had never met.

Jeremy and Cecily made each other better versions of themselves. Jeremy wanted her to be herself and not be afraid of her kinks. He also was ready to hurt anyone who dared to even touch her. Jeremy even managed to be jealous of fictional characters. To Jeremy, her well-being came first.

I'm very curious about Ava. She wants to feel alive and might even be an alcoholic. We still have no idea what happened between her and Eli, like why she doesn't want to even hear his name and how he's so protective and possessive of her but still isn't going after her.

I wish we saw more other side characters in these books than Landon. I don't really know how I'll like him in his own book. None of the heathens are perfect but I just hate the way he used Cecily, knowing that she thought that she had feelings for him and even using those feelings against Jeremy.

All in all this was a good book about finding someone made for you after going through something like what Cecily went through in the secondary school. Cecily and Jeremy fir almost perfectly together but I was not a big fan of the miscommunication. ...more "
