"So far I’m enjoying the pacing of the story. Enough plot to keep me engaged with just a dash of world building. A fair bit of confusion as it relates to the world building but I’m sure it will fall away as I gain more clarity reading the book." — Dec 30, 2025 09:33AM

“If after I read a poem the world looks like that poem for 24 hours or so I'm sure it's a good one—and the same goes for paintings. ”

And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.”

“Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to."
