The Fault in our Stars has everything you are looking for in a book including romance, comedy and tearjerkers.

The Fault in our Stars is about a girl named Hazel who has terminal cancer and she meets someone named Agustus Waters who also has cancer and the story of their amazing love. In the beginning of the book it starts out her talking about her cancer which in a way you would think that would be a horrible way to start a book but really its the perfect hook. You want to know about her life with cancer and what its like to have cancer. The way she meets Agustus is adorable in every way and makes you never put the book down because you want to read how they get together and have this epic love.

Hazel is my favorite character because her personality and life, minus cancer, is a lot like mine. Her parents always think shes depressed when she really isn't and they make jokes about her taking drugs or drinking and mine do the exact same thing. I love how even though she has cancer she doesn't really care she just lives the same life going about it so normally. One of my favorite parts is her describing how her support group meetings go because if i went through that i would describe it the same way. I wouldn't speak that much and i would have the same kind of connection she has with one of the guys there. Hazel has the funniest personality that really makes the book good.

I rated this book 5 stars because i loved every part of the book. I even loved the part when she goes has to help Agustus because hes dying and even when she goes to the funeral. It was just such a well written book and hooks you on the first page. I could barely put the book down, it probably took me about 1 day and half not putting it down. I loved all the characters and it was such a great way to show how people with cancer really live and how their personality's are.

I recommend this book to people that are okay with reading about cancer and death. Even though it has death in the book it doesn't make the book horrible it actually makes the book good because you want to continue to read how Hazel deals with it. I also recommend this book to people who have cancer or know someone with cancer because they may be able to relate with different characters and they may like to read how these characters deal with the pain of it. The Fault in our Stars doesn't sugar coat cancer in any way which is a great technique in getting people to read it. ...more "
