“It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.”
― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

“All Christian communions of any size or duration have their distinctive traditionalisms, their myths of continuity amidst rupture and rupture amidst continuity, their claims of doctrinal pedigree and of allegiance to the authority of the Christian past, and their often overweening confidence regarding their own grasp of those clearly correct orthodoxies that other communions have distorted or occluded or betrayed. And all, to some degree or another, demand that history confirm them in their certitudes.”
― David Bentley Hart, Tradition and Apocalypse: An Essay on the Future of Christian Belief

“When you blame others, you give up your power to change.”
― Robert Anthony

“Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.”
― C.S. Lewis
