― Pablo Neruda

“She had blue skin,
And so did he.
He kept it hid
And so did she.
They searched for blue
Their whole life through,
Then passed right by-
And never knew.”
― Shel Silverstein, Every Thing on It

“There's more beauty in truth, even if it is dreadful beauty.”
― John Steinbeck, East of Eden

“I didn’t yet realize it was okay to be broken, that it was even, perhaps, essential to becoming a more porous animal capable of far more real love than I had known was possible. ― Florence Williams, Heartbreak: A Personal and Scientific Journey
