Marjane Satrapi is telling about her own life, and as it turns out, her Grandfather used to be emperor in Iran! I wonder how this played out for her during the 1980s. I always thought that this book was supposed to be about the plight of poor eastern-European immigrants in Chicago. The scene I am currently in is filled with joy and happiness.
