Suuuuper interesante la trama: una chava que no ha jugado ajedrez en años va a un torneo y le gana al Campeón mundial y ahora él se obsesiona con ella❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Eso si, no me imaginaba que los protagonistas fueran tan jóvenes (creo que estoy acostumbrada que los libros de Ali tengan personas de arriba de 25 años).
Hubo aspectos de Mallory con los que pude identificarme, su pasión por el ajedrez, la disciplina que conlleva y la manera en que se enfoca 100% cuando juega. Sin embargo, la mayoría de lo que ES su personaje no me agradó (al inicio)… y es que no soporto ver a chavitas de 17-19 años que tienen que tomar el papel de mamás de sus hermanos menores, que sienten esta ENORME responsabilidad por ellos o que son forzados a tomar el papel de un padre.
Y es que no me imagino yo a los 18 años haber tenido la suficiente madurez para tomar la decisión de poner mis necesidades en segundo plano sobre las de mis hermanas o tener que mantenerlas financieramente.

OMGGGG he is so hot!! And sweet
Me esta gustando un montón el tema del ajedrez (aunque no entienda nada, como en todos los libros de Ali jajaja), la trama esta muy bien planeada, el tema del feminismo en el ajedrez me fascinó y las referencias de generación Z son divertidísimas.
Y obvio el romance es top >>> es slow burn, pero no importa!! Porque se pasan volando las páginas, desde un inicio se sabe que hay atracción y Nolan esta buenísimo (ya saben que Ali nos lo describe como “big”)😫❤️
Ya quiero verlos juntitos😏🙏 (spoiler: es un libro young adult así que no hay escenas explícitas💔)

Final: 100%
Awwww fue muy bonito!!!🩷 De verdad amo que él siempre quiso verla ganar, que la admirara tanto que parecía obsesionado con su manera de jugar ajedrez.
Y el final: 10/10🫶 aunque me hubiera gustado un besito más🥺
Por otra parte, sigo frustrada con la mamá de Mallory, pero creo que ya me quejé lo suficiente de los adultos que creen que sus hijas de 18 años son lo suficientemente maduras como para tomar decisiones solas y mantener a una familia🙄 ...more "
