I loved this book for many reasons. First, I am from Alaska. But the main reason I connected was that Beth was able to speak up and insist her husband be treated at a better and more equipped hospital. I’ve had to be the person who spoke up and watched out for my husband and some others. It’s not easy for a woman to do. We are called bossy and pushy as well as some not so nice names. I loved her exploration of Alaska and the ocean.
