"Mr. Mercedes is the first book I've read by Stephen King. Already the vivid details and his masterful story-telling skills are captivating my attention for hours! Here's an example of such details: " Cars and trucks drove by on the turnpike extension, projecting their shapes on the street below in a series of shadow-shutters" (90). Simply amazing yet realistic storytelling craft by Stephen King." — Mar 13, 2019 09:31AM

"Margo is missing. She has left clues for Quentin, and Quentin endeavors to trace her footsteps and find where she is. Quentin has come close to a strip mall that he suspects Margo to be sleeping in. To find Margo, Quentin even lies to his parents, saying that "[he] decided to go to prom" (164), while actually, he is sleeping in the strip mall to look for Margo. At 3 AM, the friends at prom call him to pick him up." — Dec 12, 2018 06:38PM

"Finishing the short story "Understand," I am still amazed by how skillful of an author Chiang is. He has convinced me that short stories are extremely entertaining to read because the brief insight you have on to the character's life is emphatically powerful. Here's a quote that I found interesting: "there are gaps, lacunae: the internal psychological developments and discoveries that each has made" (65)." — Jun 01, 2019 09:28PM
