How weird, she said, that men have almost the same amount of testosterone forever.
Ivy
It truly isn’t fair that women reach a certain age and hormone production stops, leading to bone and muscle loss, weight gain, loss of libido, etc. and for whatever insane reason in this puritanical country, the good old USA, it’s illegal to prescribe the tiny amount of testosterone post-menopausal women need to carry on. Neal D. Barnard
“The beef industry has contributed to more American deaths than all the wars of this century, all natural disasters, and all automobile accidents combined. If beef is your idea of "real food for real people" you'd better live real close to a real good hospital.”
Neal Barnard

J.D. Salinger
“When you're dead, they really fix you up. I hope to hell when I do die somebody has sense enough to just dump me in the river or something. Anything except sticking me in a goddam cemetery. People coming and putting a bunch of flowers on your stomach on Sunday, and all that crap. Who wants flowers when you're dead? Nobody.”
J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

J.D. Salinger
“And I have one of those very loud, stupid laughs. I mean if I ever sat behind myself in a movie or something, I'd probably lean over and tell myself to please shut up.”
J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye

Jonathan Safran Foer
“Sometimes I can hear my bones straining under the weight of all the lives I'm not living.”
Jonathan Safran Foer, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close

J.D. Salinger
“I am always saying "Glad to've met you" to somebody I'm not at all glad I met. If you want to stay alive, you have to say that stuff, though.”
J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
