I just finished Anne Frank. After reading it, I’m no longer focused on Anne’s age. Instead, I am totally overcome by the insight and the power of the writer. Anne unfortunately is experiencing maturation hiding in the annex of a house in fear of a relentless enemy. Instead of expressing fear or hatred, Anne views her small world through the eyes of a teenager but expresses herself with the words of an insightful adult.
