To be truthful, it's more appropriate to refer to Come With Me as a journey, rather than a book. Suzie's words are anointed, and beg us to go deeper. This is a journey which will no doubt create a movement that will change the way Christians follow Jesus, which will in turn bring many to answer "Yes" to His call.

Each chapter touches on real life circumstances, even those that are considered taboo to many in the Christian community, and allows the reader to walk though those as Jesus would. The perspective of walking through life as the "13th disciple" is fresh and compelling.

Suzie creates a parallel between us and the 12 disciples whom Jesus chose to follow him thousands of years ago. We are reminded that they are real men, with real issues, real problems, who dropped everything they knew to follow Jesus. They doubted, they hesitated, they questioned, they messed up, much like we do today. As the reader learns about each of the disciples, they also learn why Jesus chose each of them. The reader is not only taught and challenged, but also encouraged to move forward with solidarity and courage.

The reflection section at the end of each chapter lured me far out of my comfort zone (in a good way), and forced me to own up to my choices and beliefs. These areas were often difficult for me; it was as though writing down my answers to the author's questions made my answers more real and undeniable. I seriously cannot remember a time that I was so challenged in my life, where following Jesus is concerned. This is a journey I will not soon forget.

Come With Me has asked me to not only follow Jesus regardless of what hurdles are placed in my path, but also to love others as He would (and teaches me how to do just that), to trust in His timing, to focus on the daily miracles that come with simply following Him, and so very much more.

Yes Lord, I will come! I will follow! I will go!
