But we must remember that Jesus didn’t say, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have the same view on origins” or even “. . . if you have the correct view on origins.”
The idea that the God of the Bible cares about accuracy of theological belief seems to be a weak position given the way its authors interpret previous passages eisegetically (eg “virgin” in Matthew’s quote of Isaiah, Paul’s quoting of Habakuk, etc).
