It was supposed to be a reading-together, but as we say in Italian - "Who loves me follow me - and it was so she went alone - still I'm happy to have gone through it again.
Perfect, in all its sides: written brilliantly, the plot so balanced it seems weight on a scale - but you don't feel it while reading. Wits at every other page. Two of the most beautiful characters invented in western literature, beautiful because real. But even more than Lizzie and Mr Darcy, the side characters are even better. Mrs Bennet is so much more enjoyable than Mrs Proudie – and I DO love Mrs Proudie!!!

And when we do return, it shall not be like other travellers, without being able to give one accurate idea of any thing. We will know where we have gone—we will recollect what we have seen. Lakes, mountains, and rivers, shall not be jumbled together in our imaginations; nor, when we attempt to describe any particular scene, will we begin quarelling about its relative situation.
