Have you ever questioned yourself or others around you? When reading this book it makes you think if any one you know who is crazy like the main characters of this book. This book is a mystery and also suspenseful. The main characters Amy Elliott and Nick Dunne have been madly in love with each other since they met. As soon as they laid eyes on each other they knew they were meant to be together until one sudden day. On their fifth anniversary Amy disappears and is no where to be found. While she is gone and many think she is dead, the main suspect of her disappearance is her husband Nick. There are two main thoughts of what happened, Amy's diary over the past few years told a dramatic story about how she feels and what she reflects her life about and her husbands thoughts of what he think happened to her. When reading this book I thought of a million different ways of what happened, if she was trying to frame him or if she actually got murdered or if she just ran away or some other type of conflict. The author described the main character with lots of detail and how she lied about always loving her husband. When the police were investigating her disappearance her husband didn't seem to upset. Usually when a loved one has gone missing people usually morn for a long period of time.
It was an interesting read because I wanted to always want to find out what would happen next. After reading the end of the story and continuing on with the conflict it was a huge shocker to me. I would explain in this writing piece of what happened because it is so good but I don't want to give it away. If I would have to recommend this book to anyone I would recommend this book to teenagers around the age of 13 or higher because that is the age I believe people who actually read the book will like and understand the plot and conflict of the story. I would give this book a four out of five stars because it was interesting to see what actually happened to the main characters and how they were affected during and after the disappearance of Amy and her herself. The reason why I wouldn't give it a five out of five stars is because the beginning of the book was hard to get into and didn't have to much detail. My favorite part of the book was when she went missing or was killed many thought. This was my favorite part because you would have to read more to figure out what was going on. Overall, this book was a very good read and I am glad I chose this excellent read. ...more "
