The book derives from Bradbury's famed story "Fahrenheit 451". I am a true fan of the original book that I decided to read this collection of short stories. What I enjoyed most about this book is the tone of writing and character that Bradbury conveys. He is able to bring such tone and emotion to any story or character no matter the location. The dystopian futuristic setting is also what reels me into Bradbury's work. His messages are so settle, but speak volumes when you begin to notice and analyze them."The Library" has to be my favorite story out of the entire book. It perfectly captures how we as a society are drifting from valuing education and knowledge. Bradbury reminds me just how important it is to always stay educated and aware. The only feature to this book that turned me off is the fact that the book is a compilation of short stories. I think some stories like "The Pedestrian" could have been longer and a little more elaborate. Overall I would recommend the book to anyone that is interested in the future or distopians....more
