By doing it caused Harry Potter to be dead, Hermionie and Ron to never have been married, so Rose, their daughter, never existed, and Hogwarts being devoted to Voldemort and run by Umbridge. "The society in Wonder is just like it is today. People are judgmental and prejudice. They believe what they hear from others and make their judgements based off of those rumors. They see August and make sure there's plenty of distance between him and themselves on the sidewalk or crossing the street.
