"John and Lorraine had a party at the Pigman's house, upon arriving he called the police and was very disappointed. They went to the zoo with him and when he saw Bobo was gone he died. I wouldn't be friends with anyone in this novel. Mr. Pignati is old and strange while John is immature. Lorraine also is sort of boring and all the other adults in the novel are messed up. In addition, no one seems to really do anything" — Sep 12, 2022 10:49AM

"Allie has used her powers to change the course of the boat and make it come near the ghost ship. She then climbs up the anchor and is captured by pirates. The writer wrote in 3rd person. This is nice because then the story can move around from different perspectives, and the story is better understood overall. However, the author is not always descriptive enough and the writing can seem childish at times." — Feb 08, 2016 05:40PM

"Joe and Frank have solved the mystery and rounded up the gang. In the end, Clint Hill was alive and working undercover to trap the gang himself. The setting of the novel is in a city called bayport, around the 1960-1980s. The city is in America and has a coastline. The town is just the average suburb. The setting does not matter because often the characters travel around, and the mysteries could happen anywhere/when." — Jan 19, 2016 01:28PM
