I suspected early on that the novel was longest shaggy dog ever written. I kept on because i enjoy a good shaggy dog story. I was disappoint as it was not that good, failing to elicit the requisite appreciative groan--veering instead in to a rather conventional wrap up. Stayed with it to the end but would suggest if one is likewise frustrated with the storytelling it just may not be worth it.
