What have you learned? my father asked, and I didn’t have the words then, but, in retrospect, the lesson seemed to be that what you accomplish will never matter so much as where you fail.
This appears several times throughout the book, and I think that this can be true. However, I don’t believe it’s true in the context that your failures will or should define you. Failure is where we learn what is right and wrong, what works and what doesn’t, which are very important things. Failure means that you are trying and exploring new and different ways of approaching a problem. Just a fun little nugget that can be spun two different ways.
