I was really tuned in to Gilda's internal struggle of understanding the purpose of life and existence. I really felt like most of the quotes I highlighted were moments where Gilda was contemplating both the significance and insignificance of living and being, and how her metaphor of being specks floating in space was metaphor/representation for her feeling untethered to reality and not feeling grounded.
