I enjoyed this book. I feel like Louisa changed for the better throughout the book because she had someone like Will who was willing to push her outside her comfort zone.

Will is our male main character who is stuck in a wheelchair after an accident in 2007. He needs help from a lot of people to do the smallest of things. Things that people who aren’t bound to a wheelchair take for granted. Before his accident he was this person who lived this great life. One that traveled and one that worked for pretty much everything.

Louisa is our female main character who at the beginning is working at a café. She seems very okay with working in the café for the rest of her life even though she’s 27. She doesn’t have dreams, ambitions, or have the slightest idea of what she wants to do. When the café closes that’s when she has to come with the conclusion of what’s next? She never expected to meet Will and have all these adventures with him in the last 6 months of his life.

I did have some problems with the secondary characters like the sister Treena. Even though her and Louisa have their moments of ‘I’m going to be there for my sister’, I felt like it was more of Louisa trying to get out of her younger sister shadow. Because it was Treena this, Treena that. And on top of that I felt like Treena was entitled to EVERYTHING mainly because she was the youngest.
I didn’t like Louisa’s relationship with Patrick whatsoever in this book. It felt very forced and can tell that they were maybe becoming distant from what they once were. Because of Louisa’s job and Patrick being OBSESSED with his training.
I felt like the parents were always comparing Louisa to Treena. Possibly wondering why can’t Louisa be more like Treena. As the story went on and Louisa changed for the better is when her own mother calls her ‘a child’ because Louisa wants to be there for Will.

Will was the one who helped Louisa open her eyes to see that there’s more to life than what their small down has to offer. Patrick, Louisa’s family, they weren’t the ones who helped Louisa open her eyes to a whole world of opportunities. Feel like this job not only helped Louisa realize that there’s more to live for but it gave Will the best last 6 months of his life. ...more "
