This may not be the most emotionally-hitting book of the series, (Rough Redemption & Rock Wedding) but there’s something about it that I just love. And yesterday, I didn’t need to read a book that would make me cry, like the other two did. I needed to read a book that made me smile and sigh with happiness.

Rock Addiction begins with an one-night stand between Fox and Molly. Fox is the lead singer of a famous band and Molly is a New Zealand librarian who’s sister is the band’s publicist. Their meeting brings instant sparks and they quickly fall into bed together. There is a case of instant lust/love and their one-night stand extends into an one-month agreement. The passion between Molly and Fox is a driving point of the book. Their chemistry is burning and they often use sex as a prelude both confronting their problems. Both Molly and Fox have serious trust issues as a result of traumatic family and childhood experiences. However, from early in the book, they are it for each other and while there are fights and misunderstandings, they always work through it.

I honestly think Rock Addiction is my favorite rock star book. There’s something about the instant and complete devotion Fox feels for Molly. I think it’s my secret fantasy for a successful and sinfully sexy rock-star to fall head-over-heels for me. There is the usual elements of press issues, invasions of privacy, and overzealous fans, all of which threaten the relationship between Molly and Fox. But their commitment to each other is so strong and believable that you know if they face these issues head-on, they can overcome anything. I think that’s my favorite part of this book. The absolute belief that Molly and Fox belong together and that they both are willing to fight for that. There are moments of doubt, how can there not be with their pasts and the pressure on them, but Molly and Fox both turn to each other for support in the end. This is a beautiful book and I love rereading it and revisiting with my favorite characters. ...more "
