"Johnny was in the hospital and Ponyboy and his brothers went to visit him. The doctors would not let them in to see him. He said that Johnny was dying. So, Dallas pulled out a switch blade and threatened him if he didn't let the boys in the hospital room. The doctor let them in. While Ponyboy was talking to him, Johnny died.
