“Don’t mourn over the past,
it has no pity for you.
Don’t cry over the present,
it has no sympathy for you;
and don’t weep over the future,
it has no mercy on you.

You can mourn for the past,
but it has already gone.
You can cry over the present,
but it has already arrived;
and you can weep over the future,
but it was already within you.”
