This book beautifully continues their love story, blending the sweet moments, the spicy ones, and the real-life challenges of cohabitation. I especially appreciated how honestly it portrayed the everyday struggles couples face: one partner cooking and cleaning while the other leaves things everywhere (very relatable in my own relationship!), and the financial imbalance that can make one person feel insecure when the other earns significantly more. Those details grounded the romance and made it feel incredibly authentic.

There’s also a storyline involving an emergency and the emotional weight of being someone’s emergency contact. My heart was in it—and for the record, I would’ve been absolutely furious if Sarina had killed off [character name]. The writing made every emotion land.

I also have to shout out one of my absolute favorite characters: Blake. The straight-but-hilariously-supportive (and occasionally overwhelming) best friend and teammate. I adored him in Him, and he absolutely shines here. And I’m VERY curious to see if something develops between him and Jamie’s sister…

The emotional spectrum in this book is huge—fear of losing someone physically, fear of losing them emotionally, and the comfort of chosen family. I loved the expanded focus on the Canning family (I adore them), and getting more insight into Wes’s parents and their dynamic added so much depth.

And then, at the very end, I realized there’s a third book in this universe… so of course I’m diving in next. And honestly? I’m praying this series keeps going and going—give me Boxcar Children-level longevity and I’d still read every single one.

A phenomenal sequel. Highly recommend to anyone who loves heartfelt, character-driven romance that isn’t afraid to show the messy, beautiful realities of love. ...more "
