This is not a thick book at all (120 pages). But there is so much to digest. This is not a book that can be read through in one sitting. I would suggest really thinking through everything discussed and writing out a lot of the things Clark mentions.

There is a deep and corrosive tribal impulse to act as if “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” But sometimes the enemy of your enemy is just a jackass.
I'm not done with this book yet, but I'm gonna go ahead and say this is the best line in this book.
“It represented the perennial protest that occurs in the church when there is overelaboration of machinery and lack of dependence on the Spirit of God. The Montanist movement was and is a warning to the church not to forget that its organization and its formulation of doctrine must never be divorced from the satisfaction of the emotional side of man’s nature and the human craving for immediate spiritual contact with God.”
