""On the skirt, on the blue and green skirt with the diagonal stripes going the other way, there was a burn hole the size of a dime. You could see the turquoise underskirt through it....It wasn't perfect anymore. She couldn't wear it." This just shows how his Mother isn't perfect and I feel like this is symbolizing how their life just changed and can't be put back the way it always was." — Sep 12, 2016 09:06AM

"From the alchemist, the reader learns that you need a lot of perseverance and self-confidence. Throughout the book, he has a steady life from being a shepherd to even when he gets to the pyramids after being robbed and homeless. Even after he finds his soulmate as he describes, but that doesn't stop him from believing and achieving his personal goal or as it restates in the book multiple times his personal legend." — Dec 05, 2016 08:52AM

"It's odd how he seems to be emotionless and care only about himself, but not about his future. The main character seems to ignore his past. It's just the beginning, but the only time he's talked about his past was about a girl, and he constantly talked about her. On page 32 he said, "I couldn't get her off my mind. I really couldn't" Not only that but when he talked about his past he referred to the little details." — Jan 30, 2017 09:03AM
