I believe that Christ is the Priest of all the sacraments, just as He speaks to us from every page of Sacred Scripture. He ministers to us in every sacrament—and we experience in this way the vitality of His mystical body.
“When the parents act like children, we have a dysfunctional family. And when shepherds act like sheep, we have a dysfunctional church. There is no way to have accountable leadership if you do not know who to hold accountable and for what. The congregation is there to minister. The pastor is there to lead. The board is there to govern. The staff is there to manage. Don't mix up the positions if you are playing to win.”

“But there are many kinds of idols, and the most dangerous ones are not those we fashion with our hands, but those we unconsciously carry with us in our heads.”
―
―
“The way of grace is a pathway of change. it is a pathway of change that leads us to depths of character, integrity, joy, and true friendship with God. The truly good news of the gospel is that God wants us to be his friends and invites us to live in relationship with him. When we really see the outstretched hand of God, our whole view of the spiritual life changes. Instead of being just something else to do for a God who is distant, we see for what it really is: an offer for us to spend time with the Savior, who draws near every day and in every moment. Receiving is more than avoiding the harmful; it is cultivating openness to the spiritually helpful.”

“We must be on guard not to try to build up again what grace has broken down.”
―
―
“It is essential for us all to realize that admitting to brokenness is not to doubt the healing and restoring grace of God. Rather, the brokenness needs to call us to a dynamic discipleship, which grows through faith beyond the mere acknowledgment that brokenness is all that we can expect from life.”
