This was a very fun and entertaining book; with Percy Jackson's return, it will be an important part of the series thus far. In Riordan's newest book, Apollo has become a mortal teenager named Lester Popodopoulos, and he wants to become a god again. His quest is to battle a mysterious man named The Beast, who is trying to take Oracles from other Greek camps with Python, a large snakelike dragon. The Oracles are important because heroes are only made with their prophecies. With the help of Meg, who saved Apollo from thugs after he crashed into an alley garbage can, and Peaches, a baby karpos(grain spirit), they have to stop the Beast and bring back all of the Oracles.
