There’s mourning the relationship you had, and then there’s mourning the relationship you could have had.

At the funeral, I cried with my sister and she said to me, "I'll never dance with him at my wedding". I had the same thought, I felt robbed of the future I will never have. I wanted to drink beers on the beach and laugh at my grandma's quirks. I was blessed to have been loved, but I will be blessed moved forward, even though my opa is gone.
