wow. this is so much funnier, sweeter and sadder than I remember. bro I cried so much when I read that one chapter w the letters. like so much more. and I rlly fell in love with this story ugh I love it so much, january’s growth and her love with gus it’s so cute. I want someone like gus to tell me my writing changes the world. this book makes me want to pursue my childhood dream of becoming an author fr fr. i’m in tears I love it I love it I love it. emily henry is one of my fav authors. period. 5 stars.

4th read review:
literally this book just gets better every time I read it
i find something new to love and appreciate about emily henry’s writing
the vulnerability when gus leans into january >>>>> he’s always described as leaning on something, almost bc the weight of the world is on his shoulders
and there’s a moment where he leans into january, using her as support and THAT MOMENT. it’s like just the most vulnerable, intimate moment I love bc it shows how he lets go of his own past to let himself truly feel a sense of support and love towards january. maybe he had always been the one people left behind but january gave him an opening, a chance to finally be chosen and loved and ugh I love love love love this book

5th read — spanish read:
ok so I challenged myself to read this book in spanish bc 1. I need to practice my spanish 2. I wanted to do so in a way that let me read a romance book 3. I knew this was gonna be hard so I needed to ease into it so I picked a book I know like the back of my hand
and wow. reading this in spanish gave me a whole new appreciation for emily henry, like there are lines in here that I had to reread multiple times bc duh spanish isn’t my first language, and like the way. I. just. fell in love. again. with the story. the writing. it’s FANTASTIC. I wonder how I can share my highlights in spanish lol
anyway
loved this, i’m glad I read it in spanish bc honestly it helped me a lot — when I started, I struggled big time and wanted to give up
but I kept going bc I love the story and I know I wouldn’t have wanted to give up and IM SO HAPPY I DIDNT. this is such a beautiful story, english and spanish
it’s almost 1 am now. soo my thoughts aren’t coherent anymore. but I am proud of myself
also ch 25 still. made. me. cry. IN SPANISH‼️
