Diary of a wimpy kid is the eleventh book of the Diary of a wimpy kid series. This book was great to read. Guaranteed to make you laugh. This book is a Realistic Fiction/Fiction book. My opinion of the book is that this book made me lose track of time because it was that good. At the ending the main character Greg had an idea to make a show to make him famous. Well that idea didn't make him famous instead he made his best friend Rowley popular.
This book takes place in a variety of places. Either Greg's home, his school, or another location. The Main character Greg has pressure piling on him. Things don't go the way he wants. A major event that happened in the story is when he ends up making a "show" that was suppose to be about him but his best friend Rowley stole the spotlight. This book is a Person versus self situation. Greg faces many situations but in most of them things don't go the way he wants them to go. (Mentioned earlier)
This title of the book relates to the story because the main character Greg can either successfully make it through his complex situations or he will double his troubles. An example from the book is when he tries making a movie but fails to do it.
Once again I like this book the pictures were really funny. Some quotes from the book were too. For example on page 19 it states, "I'll tell you this: If I get to heaven I'm gonna spend all my time swimming in a giant pool filled with jelly beans." My favorite part was when Greg's older brother told him a lie about when you burp indoors the ghost of George Washington will haunt you (page 123). The reason this was my favorite part was because this made me laugh so hard I fell off my chair.
I rate this book 4 stars. The reason because it was really fun to read made me laugh, but some parts were pretty boring. This book is great for anyone from any age to read, but if I had to be specific I would recommend this book for kids ages 8-13. Once again This book will made you laugh, some parts will have you be wanting to know whats next. This book is really great. Hopefully there is a twelfth Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book. ...more "

The ending almost made me cry because (***SPOILERS***) Alex's Sister Briana dies in an elevator at the end of the story. ***Spoilers*** Alex's parents never returned at the end so Alex and Julie decided to leave the city.
If you haven't read the book don't read the following. The summary of this story is: Alex Briana and Julie live in an apartment alone because their parents are in separate locations. Alex worries if either his dad or mom dies because So many people die everyday from the hazards of the moon. (That's why I think the title is called the Dead and the Gone.) Alex goes to the Yankee Stadium to see if his Mom's dead body is there, (*Spoilers*) but he doesn't find it. *Spoils* Julie dies at the end of the story. Alex's parents never returned home so he and Julie decided to go look for them. (Story ends with a cliffhanger)
An Interesting thing I found is that the title of the book relates to the story because many people are dead and many people are gone with basically no form of transportation. For example Alex's parents are gone and both are in separate locations. The setting of the story is in New York during a Moon Disaster. The setting adds to the conflict since with the cause of the moon closer to Earth more devastating natural disasters happen and more people get killed every day.
In my opinion of this book is its overall great. There is a lot a suspense-full parts that make you wonder what's going to happen next. This book is suitable for all ages. There is some parts in the book that talk about death. This book is one of the best books I've ever read.
In Conclusion I rate this book 4 Stars. I gave it this rating because it ended with a cliff hanger and I didn't understand some parts in the book. Overall many people should read this book. Once again I think this book is fantastic. I was angry to the part when Briana died in the end of the story. (Spoilers***) ...more "
