In The Titan’s Curse, written by Rick Riordan, you'll see that Percy Jackson is on another wild adventure with his close friends from Camp Half-Blood. One of their missions is to find the di Angelo siblings and bring them to the camp to be safe from the monsters surrounding them. While on this quest they have to travel to the school, at which the di Angelo siblings attend. While looking for the di Angelo siblings, they come across the dean of the school. Dr. Thorn is the dean of Westover Hall, which is the school. Dr. Thorn caught onto them rather quickly, but Thalia used her mind powers to mess with the other lady with Dr. Thorn,so that she would "remember" that Percy, Annabeth and herself goes to Westover Hall. As they went inside looking for the di Angelo siblings, Bianca and Nico, they saw Dr. Thorn run away with them in his arms. Percy followed him out into the hallway, and was in hot pursuit. Then Dr. Thorn shot some crazy stuff at Percy, but Percy ducked all of it. They all managed to get the siblings to safety due to some help from the hunters stepping in between Percy and the siblings and Dr. Thorn. Then Ares took them from there to Camp Half-Blood. (Riordan).
I think this book is amazingly written from the perspective of many readers out there, and it certainly was for me. One thing that worked very well in my favor was how this book was written to keep the attention of someone who is all about outdoors instead of mythology. Rick Riordan has done a fantastic job with his previous novels, as well. For example, the second book of the series, Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters was very well written also, and it was very action packed. This novel is the best one of them all. Another thing I would like to point out would be how every scenario has an outcome later on down the road. For example, when Percy left Westover Hall with the di Angelo siblings, Annabeth was still there. Percy went straight up to Chyron and told him what happened. He asked to be sent out on a quest to bring back Annabeth, but Mr. D, the camp counselor, wouldn’t let him risk his life to save another’s. So, then Percy went after her anyway. (Riordan). No matter what he was gonna face, he still went out there to bring back one of his best friends. That showed true courage. The Titan’s Curse introduces the idea of helping each other out, however you can. In the novel, Rick Riordan shows us to be thoughtful of others, even when you are staring into the eyes of monsters. This book had an impact on me, just a thought-provoking impact of, would you be there to help others out when the going gets tough?
