Okay back to the poem, the line that says “whose child shall be” has set off alarm bells for me
In the end of the last book I had a thought flick through my head just briefly but I ignored it cause I brought logic into it but it’s fae logic doesn’t fucking apply.
Is she pregnant, is that why he’s done what he did.
I first discarded this thought cause I figured there would be no way a child could survive with the torture she went through but it’s half fae, so those rules may not apply.
It kinda explains why she didn’t bounce back the same and never had an appetite.
He’s banished her to protect her and the child, he knows. He’s got her away from the war until he can fix the twisted world and bring it back for the child to live in safely and to do that needed her to break the vowel…
Expanding on that thought. She has oak, she potentially has a unborn child, if she got her hands on a crown could she make oak do the king royalty thing on the baby then stand in for it since it’s way too young.
What if her body that was ‘addicted’ to the poison was actually just morning sickness.
And now I’m on the topic of random thoughts, the ring… it came out of nowhere and then he stole it, kept it and game it back. Is that ring her ‘crown’ OH MY GOD IF IT IS THEN SHE HAS A CROWN SHE CAN SWAP THE POWER TO THE BABY!
