Matched was a great book about a young girl named Cassia it starts off with her going to her match banquet which is something you have at the age of 17 where the society tells you who they determined is your match. She was dressed in a green dress because it is her favorite color and it matched her eyes and held her artifact which was a shiny gold compact.

When it was her turn the screen was blank because on this rare occasion her match is in the same city hall as her. Xander Carrow her best friend since she was a little girl stands up and the society announced that they were matched. She was so thrilled that her match was Xander because he was very attractive and they have been best friends since they were little she never even thought about them being matched because it was so rare. All of the other girls were very jealous of her and they had the right to be!

When Cassia was watching the micro card on Xander at the end it went blank and then started back up saying Cassia Reyes your match is Ky Markham and a picture of a familiar face went on to the screen.

Over the next couple months Cassia has so trouble with her family because her father destroys her late grandfathers tissue sample upon his wishes. She is also is confused on how she feels because shes actually matched with Xander but she thinks its fate that Ky's face popped up to. She gets to know them both and has a ton of fun at rec-time with Xander but has the best moments with Ky while hiking. He teaches her how to write and some poems which makes her fall in love with him even more and plus his amazing blue eyes and shiny brown are a plus! Cassia knows Ky is an abberation because of the crimes his parents committed so she cant get him in trouble so they have to be very secretive about their love!

Right when everything is going good Cassia and Ky confess their love for each other and everything is settled with her dad and family and she is about to get a high job as a sorter everything goes down hill. As Cassia's final sorting test she has to determine who should be sent away to war she doesn't know what she is doing at the time so she picks Ky thinking it would help him little did she know that Ky would sent away to a camp to fight in the war. After the officials take Ky from his house and all the neighbors come out to see what the problem is the officials made all of the citizens take the red tablet which she didn't take so she figured out it erased your memory.

The next day Xander comes to Cassia and explains how he remembers what happened to Ky because the red tablets don't work on his. He found out the red tablets didn't work on his when he was around 10 when he dared Ky to steal 2 of the tablets and they both took one and it didn't work on either of them. Xander gives Cassia some blue tablets that work as extra food that he stole from the pharmacy and helps her understand how to use Ky's artifact which was a compass. After that she vowed to find him again and try to make their love work and her mom, dad, and Xander were willing to help her! ...more "
