This is the first time I have ever reread a book and I didn't know what that would be like. Would I just be anticipating all the things I knew to happen? Or would I be anxious to get to the stuff I remember enjoying? I had no idea. What I didn't expect was that I loved it a million times more. As soon as page 1 opened, I got teary eyed reading just the description of the loose panelling on the white house roof. And as I read more and more, I appreciated more little things I hadn't noticed and I cried. A LOT. Little lines or little things I had missed the first time stood out and I just enjoyed it so so much. Alex and Henry are such expertly written characters and I have to say that this time I fell in love with June. As a big sister myself, she just made me so emotional. I know this is long winded now, but truly. I'm overwhelmed with emotion after this. Everyone should read this book if they haven't yet....more
