hasn't spoken to her parents or her best friend Callie for many months. But then again maybe they would understand. The phone priviledges and rules at Sword and Cross were very strict. Now luce is staring out the window of the airplane as they come to a hotel. It just so happens that Daniel does come to see her and tell her about he truce and that they will say thier good-byes as he drives her to the new school.
When they get in the car, Luce spends most of the time being mad at Daniel becuase she feels there's something he's not telling her. Why suddenly now how like at Sword and Cross they couldn't be together and now that their out of that mess, they can't even be together now. Daniel drives them to a place that Luce has never been before though, at least she never would have remembered. He drove them to Luce's parent's house. Except these were her parents from another lifetime ago. She doesn't remember them but as they peer through the windows, she sees them both sitting in front of a T.V rocking back and forth in their recliners. As she scans the room she sees many picture frames on teh desk lamp tables. The character in them look so familiar. In fact a little too familiar, they look like her. In one way this strikes Luce as touching, but now she wants to know more, but she could tell by thier faces that they were happily content, but the look in their eyes would tell that there was a many deep sadnesses in them from losing her. She began to feel sad.
As Daniel pulled up to the new school, Luce noticed it looked abosolutely nothing like Sword and Cross had. This school was purely beautiful. The woman at the reception desk looked very charming in the way she dressed and how kind and polite she was. It was also two A.M. in the morning. When Luce woke up the next morning, she felt especially edgy. Number one she couldn't see Daniel. Number two, now she was right back where she started off from summer, which was staring over, again. Number three, she missed Ariane and all of her other friends, her family, Callie and as mad as she was at Daniel she wished she could see him. In that morning when she went out on the deck, not only was this whole school different, but so where the kid's and so was the arora of it. Everyone was dressed well and nicely and every one was talking and laughing.
When she sat down a few people came to say hello. For her room mate had no choice but to sit next to her, and might I add, she was not a big fan of Luce. A boy came and sat by her and actually made her feel very welcome. His name was Miles. SHe didn't know exactly how it started but she just poured everything out on him. He took it pretty well, for all that Luce had been through. It was strange becuase everyone at this new school knew who Luce was by name. She was the reincarnated girl with the fallen angel boyfriend. Tenses tightened between Luce and Daneil a whole lot. Luce was always getting so upset with Daniel becuase he couldn't exactly tell her every single thing that might happen. It was true, it had happened int he past. If he told her everysingle thing that was going on she could possibly die, becuase she might not be ready to handle it all at once. SHe had died from it before.
THe sad part about this book is, when you're half way through reading with everything that Luce is thinking and feeling, you begin to realize that Luce and Daniel might not end up together as was planned and hoped for, for anyone who read the very first book. Not to mention that Luce is so mad at Daniel that by almost the end of the book, she ends up like this Miles guy. Every day she wishes that Daniel was more like him. SHe even kisses him! But the very tragic part is that this whole time with the truce, Daniel is trying to protect Luce from the demon's that were sommoned to kill her so whether or not she knows it, he is always watching her. Even on this night of agony when Daniel has to watch Luce kiss Miles on the balcony. She might not have known before that he was always watching out for her, but she definitly knows now as after Mile's leaves to go back to his dorm room, she's standing out looking at the stars as she sees Daniel fly out of the trees and into the night.

I would reccomend this book to anyone who read the first to of course finish the series and anyone who I reccomended to read the first book.
I only rated this book two stars because this book really aggrivated me a lot and I got mad at many of the characters in the book, and because the setting didn't really change a whole lot. It mostly took place at the school and for me it was boring. ...more "

Her body was just hanging over the side walk a tad, so now she is half in Foo, and yet still at the same time half of her is in Reality. She feels bad about what she has done to Winter and how she has treated her.
In the meantime, the whole land of Foo is preparing for a battle. Of course where we last left leven, he had saved Geth and Clover and Winter. Ezra the live maniac toothpick has now taken over Winter old neighbor. Sabine may be dead but his spirit still lives very much. Now Winter's neighbor has Sabine in him and ev ery second he fights the urge to do bad things, such as take over Foo.
In this book, there is such thing as a longing. You know the meaning when you see a person you haven't seen in a very long time and you long to be with them becuase you want to talk to them and see how things have been going. It's also associated with love. That's exactly what the longing is. She is so beautiful and mystical, that when you see her you won't be able to take your eyes off of her. We met the longing in the last book when Leven found out that he was the new, Eyes of the Want. Becuase his grandfather was it before him. His Grandfather had kept the longing hidden becuase although it spreads love,it can also be very dangerous.
As they are on the chase to stop the war, save Foo, capture Jamoon, and get the longing back. The longing has a wonderful time doing what it does best, spreading love. But one thing is for sure is, it doesn't make feelings that weren't there, it can't make to strangers just fall in love. Which means that it only makes what was already there stronger.
I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes action and adventure and who has started reading the Leven Thumps series.
I rate this book two stars because the first two books of the series were very interesting and exciting. This one just sort of starts where it left off. In my opinion it is a little boaring then the others. ...more "
