Although I am a purist in that the only vampire authors are Bram Stoker and Ann Rice, this trilogy has been added to my preferred vampire authors. Although the vampires in The Strain Trilogy are detestable and hideous, especially with those stingers. Del Toro and Hogan have woven a story full of vivid characters and an incredible tale. I was like a person possessed, suspending my life to read voraciously. I want to thank them for crafting a superior tale. I look forward to future stories.
