What really attracted me to this book was that the little summary on the back of the novel was so interesting it made me want to read more. I kind of could imagine myself and my boyfriend going threw the situtation that the couple darcy and hakeem had during the novel if we had the same situation going on. Its kind of scary to think that many things can happen in a short time of period. Darcy and Hakeem the main characters from this novel are going through a rough time in their life.

Darcy and Hakeem have a long time going out. They had many things happen in such a short time. They had the whole summer, as soon as school is over, planned out.They have to be strong with the desicions that are going to have to be made because Hakeem's father is very ill and Hakeem is going to have to move to another state which will be a big impact in their life and a big change. Darcy was being selfish because she didnt want Hakeem to leave with her family but then she realizes that family comes first. Hakeem breaks up with Darcy and she is sad she loves him so much that she doesnt want to lose him but while Hakeem doesnt call her or nothing Darcy starts babysitting one of her friends baby so she can go to school. Darcy starts falling inlove with the girls brother named Brian but she wonders if Brian is just playing with her emotions and feelings. later in the novel Darcy realizes that Brian doesnt love her but want to get inside her pants. many things happen with Darcy's grandmother and impacts her dramaticly and thats when she mostly needs Hakeem to support her and to be there for her.

What was succesful about this book was that it was mysterious the whole time. You couldnt stop reading it because it was so interesting and you just wondered what might happen next.When i finished the book i stood up till 12:00 in the night to finish it because it was so good!The story was very interseting and detailed. Darcy wanting to be with the love of her life but sometimes it cant always be that way. :( ...more "

"I have finished reading the book. I am kind of upset that hakeem couldnt stay with darcy because of his family problems. Also this story was great but it would have been better if it had a more exciting ending.I really hope that in the next book Darcy and Hakeem get back together because they really do love each other." — Nov 04, 2011 01:59PM
