"So far, things that piss me off about this book:
- the description of Frederick’s suits being regency era/“on his way to meet Jane Austen” seems to be strongly in contrast with the way the actual clothes are described
- Frederick being a weird misogynist (highly realistic but unpleasant for a lighthearted romance)
- the fact that it’s a romance at all. There’s no romantic chemistry!"

Steve Jobs
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Steve Jobs

Maurene Goo
“That's sexist crap. When a guy goes through obstacles to get a girl, it's considered 'romantic.' Think climbing through a girl's window unannounced to watch her sleep. However, when it's a girl making dramatic gestures for a guy, it's creepy. Double-standard bullshit!”
Maurene Goo, I Believe in a Thing Called Love

Bill Konigsberg
“Guilt is about something you do. Shame is about who you are.”
Bill Konigsberg, Openly Straight

Oscar Wilde
“Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.”
Oscar Wilde

Jerry Spinelli
“I began to feel again something that I had been only dimly aware of before. It was a small, surprising sense of disappointment even as he was kissing me, but the violins were so loud at the time I could hear nothing else. Now the disappointment was returning and with it the realization that the magic had come only from the moment, not from him. It was different with you. In the eyes and ears of my heart, you and the magic are one and the same. The setting never mattered. On the sidewalk in front of my house, at the enchanted place in the desert, walking the halls at school- where I was with you, I heard violins.”
Jerry Spinelli, Love, Stargirl
