"Feeling bored by the condescension and uninspired world building decisions…usually I’m more patient with a fantasy novel when it comes to setting up pay-off, but I’m just not feeling curious about this setting or characters. And the beginnings of this romance are painful. I can’t stop checking how much of this book is left, which I think means I should put it down for now and get back to it at a later date." — Oct 18, 2026 04:27PM
