"I'm reading the Harry Potter books, one chapter per week while listening to the podcast "Harry Potter and the Sacred Text" which discusses each chapter in a "serious" manner. I read the Sorcerer's Stone long ago but never continued on with the series, and I'm one the few people that never watched the movies. This should be fun!" — Jan 18, 2019 07:28PM

“You won’t understand what I mean now, but someday you will: the only trick of friendship, I think, is to find people who are better than you are—not smarter, not cooler, but kinder, and more generous, and more forgiving—and then to appreciate them for what they can teach you, and to try to listen to them when they tell you something about yourself, no matter how bad—or good—it might be, and to trust them, which is the hardest thing of all. But the best, as well.”

“Anyone whose goal is 'something higher' must expect someday to suffer vertigo. What is vertigo? Fear of falling? No, Vertigo is something other than fear of falling. It is the voice of the emptiness below us which tempts and lures us, it is the desire to fall, against which, terrified, we defend ourselves.”
